Tessera Technical Trades Tools Grant Program
Gear Up for Success. At Tessera we believe in the power of our employees. The Tessera Technical Trades Tool Grant Program provides financial support to help employees safely achieve success in their technical trade roles.
If your job requires you to buy your own tools, you may be eligible for technical trades tool assistance.
The Tool Grant Program does not cover tools, equipment, or resources requested as workplace accommodations. Any accommodation-related tools must be formally requested through the Tessera VOC Department in accordance with established accommodation procedures.
Eligibility Requirements
- Must be a Tessera employee working in or training for a technical trades position.
- Responsible for providing your own work tools.
- Requested tools must be essential for your job duties.
- No documented disciplinary actions within the past year.
Grant Details
- Maximum lifetime limit of $5,250 allowed per employee.
- Annual limit of $5,250 for Tuition Assistance and Tool Grants combined.
- An itemized tool quote from a known vendor showing the tool description, cost, tax, shipping, and total is required for application. Tool must not be purchased already.
- Requests for replacement or upgrades are not eligible unless the new tool offers improved safety or efficiency.
- $500 limit on approved toolboxes only.
- Employees may apply multiple times throughout the year.
- New employees are eligible to apply.
- Tool Grant Committee reviews applications monthly.
If Awarded
- Grants are issued via reimbursement.
- Employee will receive email instructions for purchasing tools and filing for reimbursement after approval.
- A detailed receipt showing an itemized list of purchased tools, costs, tax, shipping, and total must be submitted.
