At Tessera, we’re dedicated to equipping young adults with disabilities with the skills and confidence they need to succeed in the workplace. Through our youth work-based learning opportunities like Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS), Tessera Summer Academy, Job Foundations & School to Work Services, and Project SEARCH we offer tailored support for students, parents, and teachers to help chart a path toward meaningful careers.
Tessera partners with area high schools to provide Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS) in the classroom. Pre-ETS is a free program through the Department of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR) designed to help students ages 16-21 with an Individual Education Plan (IEP), 504 plan (accommodation) or documented disability smoothly transition from the classroom to the workplace. Our services focus on:

In the classroom workshops on essential job skills like communication, teamwork, and time management.
Supervised worksite tours, informational interviews, and job shadowing.

In the classroom workshops to understand their rights, articulate their needs, and make informed decisions.
Tessera in partnership with Spokane Public Schools and Central Valley School District (Spokane), offers a school-to-work transition program called Project SEARCH for young adults (ages 19-22) with disabilities, providing real-life work experience through a one-year internship at two sites in Spokane, Washington, Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center and MultiCare Valley Hospital.
Project SEARCH is a groundbreaking national program that challenges traditional expectations and empowers young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to achieve competitive employment through an intensive internship experience during the academic year.
