2026 Tessera Speaker Series: John Register — Paralympic Medalist & Disability Advocate

About this Event

Join us for our third annual speaker series as we honor National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM) with an inspiring morning featuring Paralympic athlete, speaker, and advocate John Register.

This complimentary event brings together our community to celebrate the contributions of people with disabilities in the workforce and to be inspired by one of the most remarkable comeback stories in American sports history.

John Register

John Register’s story is one of resilience, reinvention, and remarkable achievement. After a career-ending accident as a US Army hurdler, John went on to become a Paralympic silver medalist in the long jump and a member of the US Paralympic swim team. Today he travels the world as a keynote speaker, helping organizations build cultures of inclusion and inspiring individuals to embrace their “new normal.”

What To Expect

John’s presentation will weave together personal storytelling, humor, and actionable insight — leaving you with a fresh perspective on disability, resilience, and what’s possible in your own workplace and life.

This event is open to all. We welcome employees, community members, partners, and anyone interested in the spirit of NDEAM!

Complimentary breakfast will be served!
