In the Community: 2025 Fall Highlights at Tessera

Fall has been a season of connection, service, and celebration across Tessera. From inclusive community events to inspiring speakers and volunteer efforts, our teams have come together to make a difference. Across each initiative, we’ve strengthened partnerships, supported our neighbors, and celebrated the values that make Tessera who we are.

Bikes For All

In September, we were proud to co-sponsor the Bikes for All event alongside the Kitsap County Accessible Communities Advisory Committee (ACAC) and Easterseals Washington, hosted by Outdoors for All.

This free, inclusive event was designed to make cycling accessible and fun for everyone. Outdoors for All provided adaptive bikes and equipment for participants with disabilities, while more than ten community organizations shared local resources to help individuals and families stay active and engaged in their communities. Read more about it here.

We were especially excited to see our ACAC partner, Ranee Baker featured in an interview with a Kitsap County Commissioner, where she discussed ADA law and importance of expanding access to local parks and trails. Watch the interview here.

Tessera Speaker Series

In early October, we hosted our second annual Speaker Series in honor of National Disability Employment Awareness month, featuring Paralympian and U.S. Army veteran Melissa Stockwell. Roughly 500 attendees joined us for a morning of inspiration and resilience. This free event brought together business and community partners, and even some of our Pre-ETS students, to celebrate determination, inclusion and the power of storytelling.

Food Drives & Fighting Hunger

Later in October, members of our Spokane, WA team joined forces with 2nd Harvest and other on-base agencies to help families facing hunger. We were honored to lend a hand and work alongside our partners to make a difference in the community.

Demonstrating our commitment to community and inclusion, our Home Office in Bremerton, WA is hosting a food drive November 3–14, to support Bremerton Foodline and North Kitsap Fishline. Team members are collecting nonperishable items to help stock local pantries and meet the growing needs across our communities. This effort reflects Tessera’s commitment to partnership and ensuring our community members have access to the essentials they need.

As we look ahead to the winter season, we remain committed to empowering excellence through connection, service and inclusion. Whether through partnerships, volunteering, or events that bring our community together, Tessera continues to create opportunities for people with disabilities and strengthen the communities we’re proud to serve – one connection at a time.
