Tessera Expands National Footprint with New Operations in Colorado at the U.S. Air Force Academy

Tessera has launched new operations at the U.S. Air Force Academy (USAFA) in Colorado Springs, making the organization’s expansion into Colorado an important milestone in its growing national footprint. Beginning  March 1, Tessera started providing Facility Management services at the Academy, bringing more than 150 new employment opportunities to the Colorado Springs community and advancing Tessera’s purpose in a new state.

Situated at the base of the Rocky Mountains, USAFA spans approximately 18,500 acres and includes more than 6.5 million square feet of facilities. The Academy supports a cadet corps of roughly 4,200 students and graduates approximately 1,000 Air Force officers each year. In addition to cadets, the installation serves a daytime workforce of about 8,700 military, civilian, cadet, and contractor personnel, along with nearly 3,000 residents living in on-base housing.

“Supporting the U.S. Air Force Academy is an incredible responsibility. As we grow in the Facility Management industry, we remain grounded in our purpose — creating real, lasting employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities and Veterans while delivering reliable, mission-ready support.”

Most importantly, the addition of more than 150 new positions advances Tessera’s purpose of creating meaningful employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities and Veterans. The USAFA contract strengthens Tessera’s ability to provide stable careers, professional development opportunities, and long-term career pathways for the communities it serves.
